Power-line stakeholder visit and workshop in Finland
This week NordicLink representatives gathered at FMI in Helsinki for an exciting workshop on climate impacts on costs of power line interruptions!
We enjoyed very interesting discussions on how changes in soil frost, snow loads and rainfall in connection to wind storms may impact the future power reliability and costs of the network companies. We also made a field visit to the Finnish forests together with our NordicLink stakeholder on power lines; Järvi-Suomen Energia! Here, we got to see and discuss both challenges and how JSE work to reduce the impact of power line disruptions caused by treefalls using both UAV and radar technology.
